Biography
Donatta Anderson
August 6, 1909 – November 24, 1992
Donatta Jean Anderson was born on a farm in Central Illinois in 1909. She was educated at Eastern Illinois State Teachers College and the University of Illinois. She spent most of her life with young children whether it be in the family, the school or the church. She taught elementary schools in Illinois prior to her marriage to George W. Anderson.
As a navy wife, she taught in several schools in the U.S. including the Naval Air Station, Pensacola. She was raised in a Methodist family and became a member of First United Methodist Church in Pensacola in 1954. She taught Sunday School classes and was active in the church kitchen until it moved to The Wright Place. She was the mother of George Ray Anderson, and was the devoted wife of George W. Anderson for 61 years.
