Biography

Wallace F. King
Wallace was a Pensacola native who worked at NAS Pensacola for more than 40 years.  From his teen years, he was an active member of First Church and served as the Chairman of the Administrative Board.

Ann McAllister King
Ann, also a native of Pensacola, has been a life-long member of First United Methodist Church, having joined when she was eight years of age.  She has served in so many varied ministries of the church and as President of the United Methodist Women.

Wallace and Ann, parents of two children, Fred and Nancy, have always been interested in youth and together they served as youth leaders of the church in the 1950’s.  This scholarship reflects their values of encouraging Christian youth to better themselves and to seek to be the best in their chosen areas of pursuit.
