Joe Harrell Men’s Bible Study

The Joe Harrell Men’s Bible study gathers for breakfast, followed by a devotion and presentation on a variety of topics. The Bible Breakfast has continually met for 40+ years and is always looking for new members. Led by Mike Vance.
Dad’s Bible Study

The Daniel Plan

Addiction and Grace
Begins October 18 | 6:00pm | Perry Home, PH101
This class, open to the community, will offer “an inspiring and hope–filled vision for those who desire to explore the mystery of who and what they really are.” We will use Gerald May’s book, Addiction and Grace to examine the “processes of attachment” that lead to addiction and describes the relationship between addiction and spiritual awareness. In it, he details the various addictions from which we can suffer, not only to substances like alcohol and drugs, but to work, sex, responsibility, performance, and intimacy. Led by The Rev Dr Jim White.
First Friday | September 7 – April 5 | 5:30pm | Lower Sanctuary, S117
Once a month, parents are invited to join us for a video Bible Study series to learn how to cultivate and enjoy a beautiful marriage rooted and grounded in Christ. Some of the topics will include what it means to have a shared vision, finding your true identity in Jesus, practices to confront unspoken expectations and conflict, allowing challenges to knit you together, keeping proper priorities while raising a family and spending time together. After class, parents will be given the opportunity to enjoy dinner together while we have a program for children. Led by Geoff and Stephanie Cook.
Disciple Fast Track

This class is ideal for busy people who want to fit a comprehensive Bible study into their schedule. This class includes weekly video clips and encourages participants to do short, daily readings. Classes meet for 12 weeks on the Old Testament and then can continue with a 12 week class on New Testament.

When Helping Hurts

As part of the 2018 Year of Missions, this class will look at a biblically based framework concerning the root causes of poverty and its alleviation. We will explore “Who are the poor?”, “Should we do relief, rehabilitation or development?” and “How can we help people effectively here and abroad?”.

This community group is an open group that meets weekly on Monday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 to facilitate the deepening of our relationship with God and each other through the practice of centering prayer in order that we might be transformed into Christ’s likeness for the transformation of the world. The Holy Spirit and You

How am I to relate to Him? “The Holy Spirit is that gift whereby even in a world at war, we may live in peace, our enemies can become friends, and even in a culture of lies, we can tell the truth. ‘Come, Holy Spirit!’ is the first and last prayer of the church, our only hope in life and death. In receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can begin the adventure of discipleship and end all our attempts at self-justification.” Join Rev.
