Lent is a solemn religious observance that begins on Ash Wednesday and covers approximately six weeks (40 days, not counting Sundays) before Easter. Lent is a time of preparation and reflection through prayer, self denial and repentance. Come be a part of the many services and activities at First Church during the season of Lent.
Ash Wednesday Services – March 6
Morning Ash Wednesday Service
7:00am | Chapel
Ash Wednesday Service with imposition of the ashes, designed especially for those who need a service before school or work.
Mid-day Ash Wednesday Service
Noon | Chapel
A 15-minute Ash Wednesday Service with imposition of the ashes.
Traditional Ash Wednesday Service
6:00pm | Main Sanctuary
Make a commitment to observe a holy Lent on Ash Wednesday. Receive the imposition of ashes on your forehead, a symbol that causes us to remember our mortality and need for repentance. Dr. Wachob will preach at this special service in the Main Sanctuary.

Starting March 11, join The Monday Night Class for a Church-Wide Lenten study led by Lauren Green. They will be studying the book “Entering the Passion of Jesus”, by Amy Jill Levine.
