Consecration

Consecration Sunday is the 6th Sunday in our Growing Season. Having prepared ourselves for five weeks—by studying the ‘five components’ of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ—we come together on Consecration Sunday to praise and thank God for our baptism into His Church and to commit our lives and our financial support for Jesus’ continued work in this world. Every Christian is expected to support God’s work with his or her possessions. As God has prospered us, we, therefore, gratefully contribute some of what God has given to us in order to fulfill our calling as disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Lk. 12:34). Our treasure is in Jesus Christ, and on Consecration Sunday, we declare the intentions of our heart in committing our financial support to the glory of God in this world.

Call to Action

As we conclude our Growing Season emphasis, we ask that you return all completed printed items and bring them to the altar as a commitment to God on this special Consecration Sunday. Be a part of the Church’s mission in Christian Worship, Education, Evangelism, Missions & Outreach, and Stewardship
