Seniors

There are a wide variety of programs available for Senior Adults at First United Methodist Church of Pensacola.  Some of these programs are listed below.  Contact Debra Tallman (Director of Senior Adult Ministries) to learn more.

Silver and Gold

11 AM - Wright Place - 4th Thursday of each month, except Nov. and Dec.
This is a monthly program and luncheon our church offers to older adults in our area. It is open to anyone who wishes to attend. We have many regulars from various downtown churches. The programs are either informative or entertaining.

XYZ (Xtra Years of Zest)

XYZ plans out of town trips to places like New Orleans, Birmingham, Montgomery, Lake Junaluska, Blue Lake, or the like, about three or four times a year. These trips, also, are open to people from other churches.

Older Adults’ Lunch Day Out

11:30 AM - 2nd Thursday of each month - check WITNESS for details
Once a month we have an Older Adults’ Lunch Day Out. We congregate at a popular local restaurant and enjoy good food and fellowship around the table.

Other Opportunities

We have many Older Adults who participate in lay ministry programs like Stephen Ministry and Good Shepherds.  These programs involve ministry to lonely, sick or grieving church members.  OASIS (Older Adult Seniors In Service) involve older adults in a variety of areas.  These include visitations, helping hands, and other services.
