Children’s Ministries at First Church is dedicated to growing spiritually healthy families by partnering with parents. Together we provide experiences in worship, service, fellowship and studying the Bible, so all children can learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

Kid Adventure | Funplex & Zaxby’s
June 29 | 9:00am – 1:00pm
All children are invited to join us for our monthly Kid Adventure. All ages are welcome, however, preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult.

Come join us for the play, Nick Tickle (preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult). We will meet at the Ferdanand Plaza at 9:00am; have a snack, then walk to the theater at 9:30am. Seating is very limited please RSVP by July 3.

Worship Arts Week

This week is dedicated to kids who love art, to dance, play instruments, and more. The whole week is centered around the arts while worshiping God in different ways.
Family Fun Night Summer Farewell

All families are invited to join us for a fun and relaxing evening at the beach. Come have dinner on the beach and enjoy the sunset. Bring your own dinner, chair, and money for snow cones.

Bible Stories, Small Group/Large Group Format
Each week children of all ages hear and experience the Bible in a small group/large group format. Storytellers creatively present the Bible story in a large group while dedicated teachers strive to build relationships through small group discussion and activities. Curriculum: TruStory
Chill Time for 4th Graders
Mondays, 2:30-3:30pm at TCBY on Bayou Blvd
Fourth graders are invited for a time of Bible Study and fellowship.
KidConnect/Choir for K-4th
Choir, Worship Arts Classes, Bible Study
Kids participate in choir, worship, class experiences and fellowship.
This mid-week program is designed to encourage kids to grow in their faith through small groups, creative worship art classes and meaningful worship. Opportunities include Dance, Play N Pray, Girl Time, Art, Recorders, Violin, Book Club and more.

Third Grade Bible Blast
Third graders are invited to learn more about their Bibles through a 6 week Bible class. They look at how the Bible came to be, learn the books of the Bible, hear about and experience festivals and traditions in the Bible and learn to make their Bible their own.

First Church follows Safe Sanctuaries procedures to create an environment in which children, youth and the adults who work with them have boundaries of safe space.

Lisa joined the staff of First United Methodist Church in the fall of 2008. She has a B.A. in Christian Education from Huntingdon College. In addition to working at First Church, she currently serves on the Treehouse Board of the Pensacola Little Theater (Children’s Theatre Program) and volunteers at her children’s schools. She is married to Bill Bond and has three children, Connor, Mary and Caroline.
The Children’s Department is located in our two story Education Building. The Education Building provides a kid friendly atmosphere for children to worship, learn and grow. The nursery, classrooms, and Methodist Children’s Academy (MCA) are on the first floor of the Education Building. The second floor has additional meeting space for children including Children’s Library, art room, Children’s Worship Room and more.
