Music

First UMC of Pensacola has a very active and exciting music program.  With a variety of choirs and styles of music, there is definitely a place for you in the music program.  Contact Rick Branch (Minister of Music) for more information.

Adult Choirs

The Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults and sings at either the 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. worship services.  Rehearsal are held on Wednesdays from 6:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

The Chancel Choir is open to all adults and sings at the 9:45  a.m. service.

The Handbell Choir is open to all adults and performs throughout the year.  Rehearsals are held on Mondays from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.  There are a limited number of positions in the choir.  Please contact Rick Branch for more information.

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir is open to youth in grades 7th - 12th and rehearses on Sundays from 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.  This choir performs throughout the year and tours each summer.

Children’s Choirs

The 2nd-5th Grade Choir is open to the same age group and performs throughout the year at worship services and special productions.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Kindergarten and First Grade Choir is open to children in those grades and performs at worship services and special productions.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Preschool Choir is open to 3 and 4 year old children and primarily has fun with music, but does perform a few times a year.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
