First United Methodist Church currently has four Sunday morning services.
The Early Service at 8:30 AM
The Early Service at 8:30 AM, which meets in the main Sanctuary, includes organ led hymns and our wonderful Sanctuary Choir. Dr. Wesley H. Wachob, senior pastor at First UMC of Pensacola, delivers the sermon. This service also regularly includes a special sermon for children.
The Communion Service at 9:45 AM
The Communion Service at 9:45 AM includes piano led hymns and special music by the Chancel Singers. Dr. Wachob delivers the sermon at this weekly communion service in the main Sanctuary, which is both casual and contemplative.
The Traditional Service at 11:00 AM
The Traditional Service at 11:00 AM features our 4,000+ pipe organ and Sanctuary Choir and meets in the main Sanctuary. Dr. Wachob delivers the sermon. This service regularly includes a special sermon for children.
ICON at 11:00 AM
ICON at 11:00 AM is a new style of worship at First Church which is cutting edge, tradition rich, art embracing, and Christ centered. ICON serves communion weekly and meets in First Church’s new contemporary worship space, Wesley Abbey. BANNER, a progressive rock band, leads the worship music. Services include a sermon by the Rev. Geoffrey Lentz, associate pastor, and regularly include a special sermon for children.
