This in-depth discussion of Augustine’s Confessions is an intimate account of the life of the 4th century Bishop who wrote of a faith that seeks understanding and whose prayer and confession of faith begins with the observation that we are made for God, and our hearts are restless until they rest in God. Dr. Wachob will lead a new study in May based on the book The Old Testament Roots of Our Faith by Paul and Elizabeth Achtemeier. “Acquiring a basic understanding of the relationship between the Old and New Testaments with respect to salvation’s drama will enrich every readers’ appreciation for their faith and for the Scriptures.”
