Everyone is invited to hear Deaconess Clara Ester of Mobile, Alabama share her story of faith and a life of activism and advocacy at a special Christian Education Sunday School Forum on November 1st from 9:30am – 10:30am in The Wright Place.
Deaconess Ester was active in the Civil Rights Movement in Memphis, Tennessee and was on the scene when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. Her social welfare and justice interests are fueled by her early relationship with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She is also one of the founding members of Habitat for Humanity of Mobile and People United to Advance the Dream. Come hear her inspiring life story as she encourages us all to live a life of grace, love, reconciliation, advocacy and action.
