First Church has been a long time supporter of Scouting Ministries in Pensacola. We currently have three scouting clubs including, Cub Scout Pack 99, Boy Scout Troop 495 and Girl Scout Troop 110.

Cub Scouts – Pack 99
Meet Monday Nights at 5:30pm
The adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys in the 1st through 5th grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.

Boy Scouts – Troop 495
Meet Monday Nights at 7:00pm
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Troop 495 meets weekly at First United Methodist Church and enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking, and hosting an annual Pinewood Derby Workshop for local Cub Scouitng youth.

Girl Scouts – Troop 110
Second Sunday of the Month at 2:00pm
In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.
